We are a collaborative husband & wife art studio dedicated to the alchemical synthesis of direct, personal experience (what some label ‘Gnosis’) with immediate, artistic expression via a variety of archaic and cutting-edge media. Our mutually intense full-contact exploration of the occult, hidden and underground aspects of various cultures and societies over the last thirty-odd years informs our work in a way that goes far beyond simplistic analyses of books or the bland acceptance of anyone else’s authority in such matters. We are independent agents of our own unique Vision. We give voice and form to this Vision on our own terms, in our own way, as we so Will.
Studio Raziel is about direct, personal experience and the bringing forth of the wisdom and images that we have each discovered amidst the forgotten by-ways of the Western occult traditions that have been unfairly and inappropriately relegated to the dark underbelly of modern ‘civilization’ (so-called).
We reach back unto the buried and mythic past as much as we stretch onwards towards a space and a place as yet unnamed, combining archaic techniques with cutting-edge practices in a unique synthesis of old and new that we hope will eventually reveal the gold from amidst the dross.
